you need the Shape3D plugin. you can get it here: http://mkt.t-cat.biz/pdn/3.htm#3

Your going to wanna click on the 2nd set of buttons that says zip. It will save a zip file to your computer. Open that and extract all files. When it asks where you want to extract to click browse, then click on computer, then click on local disk or c drive depending on what windows program you have. Click on the program files folder then find where it says paint.net and click on that. There will be an effects folder click there and ok and then press extract.

Then go into paint.net

1. The first step after you open it is going to be choosing a color. Once u pick the color you want fill in the canvas with paint bucket. Im going to use red (its best to use lighter colors)

2. Then go up to the effects button and add noise. You’re going to want your settings at:

Intensity: 64

Color saturation:0

Coverage: 100%

3. Then go back up to effects and into blurs. Select motion blur and your settings on default which should be at

Angle: 25

Distance: 10

And make sure that the centered button is checked

So far your screen should look like this:

4. then add a new layer

After you do this go to the bottom where it says layers and click on the little hand holding the paper. A layer properties box will pop up. Change the name of the NEW layer to hanger

Uncheck the new layer and make sure the layer that says BACKGROUND is highlighted blue and the only one with a check mark.

5. go up to the effects and into render then shape3D. its default shape is the one you want the sphere. Go down to the second section and scroll till you find the lighting

Set the strength of light at 1.60

Then scroll to where it says ambient lighting:

Set this to .35 and then hit OK your screen should now look like:

6. go back to the layers section and unclick the BACKGROUND layer. Then click on the HANGER layer and make sure it is highlighted blue

7. this part is going to be the part that hang the ornament. So you want to choose prolly grey or a golden color. Im using grey. Use paint bucket to fill in the new layer. Then go back up to the render to shape3d! you are going to click on the cylander and use the default settings. then click ok and your screen should now look like:

8. then use the rectangle select and make a rectangle around the cylander. Resize as needed so it looks right on the top of the ornament

9. add another layer and rename it picture. Open the picture you want to use on a new canvas

Use the elipse select to select the part of the picture you want to use then copy it

10. go back to your ornament page and make sure all 3 layers are selected and the PICTURE layer is highlighted blue

Your going to want to move the PICTURE layer down one by using the blue down arrow in the layer box

So your PICTURE layer should now be in the middle then paste.

11. Resize your picture so it is the same size as the ornament. Then go back into the layer properties (where you changed the name) and set the blending mode to overlay. Press ok. Your screen should now look like

Flatten the picture. And your done. Save as a .JPG file

VOILA your done!!!!
