Making Frames In PSP
Making frames in PSP is easy, fun, and as complex as I want the process to be.
I like to create my own texture and sculpture swatches by painting them from scratch. Sometimes, I filter them for added interest. Once added to Corel's Texture and Sculpture folders as jpegs, they can be used straight-forward or they can be filtered several times to create interesting frames.
Adding new raster layers--above or below the dominant frame layer--gives countless more opportunities to design specialty frames. Blank lower layers can be hand-painted, for example to provide backdrops for upper-level designs that feature peer-through openings.
Mostly, I like PSP's precision. I always get what I want in terms of height, width, opacity, angles, distortions, et cetera. No guessing. No frustration. Nice!

Re: Making Frames In PSP
I used to use PSP,but never could get the hang of it so when I lost it due to a crash,I never did put it back in.License has prob expired by now.Anywho,it's nice to hear others talk about the different programs they use. There is so many of them out there, and a lot of people don't use TB so it's good to see others mentioned here.
Thank you for posting.

Re: Making Frames In PSP
That's great Rita....you have created some beautiful frames, which enhances your work. I have the program, but don't "play" enough with it. At the moment, I'm into ArtRage and enjoy making my own stencils. In a true sense they're really not frames, just a border more or less. In TB, I get lazy and use the Lua Filters to make a frame, but have found the brush(es) Larry created to make frames, fun and easy. Guess I'm not a frame person...lol, but do enjoy 'em if you or others make them on your work.

Re: Making Frames In PSP
I often make frames in batches with future applications in mind--not just digital art or photographs. I also use them to add visual appeal to collateral material like corporate brochures and annual reports. Right now, I have over 300 PSP frames and don't see an end in sight. The only downside to designing this many frames is the slow selection process. *lol*
